Monster Scholarship for Trade & Technical Training
Deadline: March 19, 2004
Award amount: $2,500
You've seen first-hand the importance of education in your life. A good education will
open doors, lead to opportunities and give you greater life choices.
But sometimes choices are limited by not having enough money for an education. It takes a lot
of money to get the schooling necessary to realize your dreams. That's why we created the Monster Scholars program.
Today's the Day You're beginning a new semester of school and you look at your class requirements: there is so much to do
that you don't know how you'll get it all done. You have a part-time job and you volunteer at the Boys and Girls
Club. There is so much to do and time is short. But then a smile slowly spreads across your face. You are doing
what you want to do in order to be the person you want to be. You know you want to do more and be more. Yeah, it
takes time and money, but it's worth it. Today is the day and we want to hear about it. Tell us, in a 250-500
word essay, about what you are doing now to get to where you want to be. And in the process, you may be a recipient
of a Monster Scholars Scholarship.
Applications will be judged on academics, school and community involvement, work experience, essay quality and
content. Click on the 'Apply Now' button to go to the online application form.
